Day 1

We removed Chance's shoes the prior day and put him in boots for 24 hours to give his feet some time to adjust to the dynamic forces of expansion and contraction that a horse's hoof in its natural, unshod state experiences. After a day's rest, we started the process of returning Chance's feet to their natural balance with his first trim.

The videos below show Chance's movement and level of pain before his first trim.
